Call extention 131 for appointment

best done before Dec 31, 1999 !

A Service for families from CVC and Supporting Churches:

Bring in your Windows/DOS computer boxes, keyboard, and mouse to the high school science lab (room 13) at Central Valley Christian High School. (Sorry no MACs). Leave your monitor at home. Fixed while you wait or leave and pick up.

WHAT WE WILL DO:

  1. We will check your computer for Y2K Compliance.
  2. If you have Windows 95, we will install the patch to upgrade it to Y2K compliance (Overall Windows 98 is compliant, but there are some Y2000 "issues" [Microsoftese for BUGS] and we have a patch for that, too.)
  3. If your bios is not Y2K Compliant, we will upgrade your bios and/or put in a software fix.
  4. If you run Windows 3.1 or DOS programs, we will modify your autoexec.bat if neccessary.
  5. We will inform you concerning any programs or files that may require some changes by year 2000.
  6. We will upgrade your oleaut32.dll file if needed.
  7. If you have Microsoft Office 97 or components (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.), we will upgrade it with service patch SR-1 and SR-2
  8. We will make suggestions on how you might get better operation from your computer.

COST TO OUR FAMILIES: Free. Donation box for the CVC technology fund will be available. This money goes toward repairing computers at CVC and purchasing new computers and computer peripherals.
